Respect of physiology also implies recognizing and taking in high risk pregnancies: the obstetrics service includes a high risk obstetric unit where pregnancies are followed up by head of clinic doctors experienced in diverse fields in our specialty.

With 1.500 prenatal ultrasounds, the fetal and ultrasound medical unit represents one of the biggest centers of reference in Lebanon for its pregnancy imageries, screening and diverse fetal pathology treatments.

Taking in high risk pregnancies and fetuses is always made in collaboration with different specialists involved in taking care of the new-born. The obstetric development unit plays an important role in the clinical research that is oriented towards diagnostic tests and interventions that can directly be of benefit to the women, fetuses and new-borns. This unit contributes in putting roots for practice medicine that has scientifically proven efficiency.

On a daily basis, our service commits to teamwork between midwives, obstetricians, neonatologists and anesthetists with a constant concern in mind: safety and humanity. The respect of physiology clearly commits us to work for preventing medical risks and support parents in difficult medical, psychological and social circumstances.

The maternity home in the Levant Clinic has at its disposal, in addition to an obstetrics unit, a neonatal reanimation unit, which allows this service to take in high risk pregnancies.

The nursing staff of the maternity home and the obstetrical suite gives suitable care to patients and new-borns in a warm and safe environment.

It accompanies the parturient in her pregnancy, work, and delivery and throughout her hospitalization with actions of education, prevention and information in matters of child care and breastfeeding.
